"Green scams" is a long shot. I guess we'll see what happens in the coming years. I tend to believe in following the money and at the moment there is massive private investment in wind,solar,battery, hydrogen and others. No one except those that are currently holding the bag are investing in future coal mines.
Hydrogen has been in use for many years. It's just been difficult to scale up but economies of scale are changing that. The biggest issue green hydrogen faces is the massive input of green energy needed. I assume the Sun Cable solar project will be a good pilot project to learn from.
