Good afternoon/evening guys, Just got off the phone to the tax office with some enquires about forex and tax. They could not help but at, as they didn't have much information on there files about forex. What they did say is am I treating it as investment or for trading and was this for a personal gain or am I doing it as a business and this depends on how often I trade/invest. He also said it could be treated as gambling so it come under gambling laws.
So my question is, what do all you people do? Do u have a ABN and trade it as a business? Treat it the same a CGT? etc.
