Actually crackdown is a bit strong to say. There seems to be an attempt around the globe to ensure that financial firms and some of their products will have to become more accountable for their clients losses. That is why you can't trade CFD's in USA or Hedge Forex, and UK is pushing for lower leverage on many products. It shouldn't have much effect here for a while but the Government here is forcing my Broker to insist all Tax File numbers are on their records before any payments out are made.
