FORGE Class action settlement Objections (by TUE 19 Nov)?

Thu 24 October 2019, Justice Murphy made timetabling orders and approved a proposed settlement notice for the FORGE GROUP class action:

Proposed Settlement Amount is $16,500,000.

The applicant lawyers seek a hefty $4,300,000 (26%) chunk of this, with another $3,950,000 (23.9%) sought by the litigation funders.

Further settlement admin and distribution costs can be expected, as well as potentially further legal costs.

No costs referee has been appointed, which is a bit unusual these days.

The proposal is that the actual class action members will receive less than 50.1% of the $16,500,000 Settlement Amount.
