    Depends on the type of pot rope, J.

    Some of it is okay but none of it is easy like that stuff you use for the marina pleb’s.

    The really “hard lay” rope is the cheap stuff that never run’s true through the winch and it is the stuff that will try to grab the deckhand by the foot and pull him through the stack of cray pot’s or over the side.

    Did you ever have to “snooze” a float onto a rope?
    Thankfully I’ve had the chance to forget about how to do those buggers.
    My dad thought they were the best way to make deep water float set’s but after a few year’s of full time work for him I teed it up with my uncle that worked with me to build enough float rig’s for all the pot’s using sanity as a guide.
    Sure, my Dad had a big sook but I never had my hands red raw from making those poxy snoozed float’s again.
