    Something to think about. Was reading a biography about mining in North Queensland. The author said that miner's wages at the time (1930's) was about 4 pounds or 1 ounce of gold. The average weekly ordinary times earnings in August 2008 in Australia was $1,145.10. Interesting correlation.
