They are true words gents and will take on board. Being a newbie, I do like the comment about considering losses a tuition fee, it really is like that.
Interestingly, I work in media and have done well out of Fairfax and SWM. Rare Earths and mining in general is an area I don't really understand, and my investments reflect that, so perhaps my lesson is to invest in areas I understand a little more.
Without knowledge of the industry it is really like punting, but there's no doubt it's been a frustrating ride when on top of MBN and DML and LYC, I also have NCM and PDN as part of my portfolio - all those stocks are having a torrid time and it's hard not to feel like I've got the kiss of death atm. All part of the journey I guess.
