do you reckon its this point in history when the asians and mid east oilers steadily take control of the global financial markets. ie: become the new USA, buy up all the organisations in strife, pay off much of the debt with their oodles of cash, which as you say is worth less every day anyway, and keep the machine running?
perhaps short term there are vaccillations as ownership is sorted out, but things will settle down once the realisation hits that its the same as it ever was...just different owners.
meanwhile we are selling our resources forward, holus bolus, eg mt gibson, cementing the chinese and others long term hegemony.
