The Qld government looks determined to build a new electricity transmission network in FNQ.
It is considering a loop Townsville/Cairns/Kennedy/Forsayth/Townsville to link new renewables to power-hungry consumers.

On the government announcement, IFN withdrew its Forsayth plans to reconsider/enlarge. We are yet to see revised plans.
Further, Forsayth is about 600km crow flight from Mt Isa via Cloncurry. If Qld has another rush of blood and links in Mt Isa, Forsayth will have plenty of customers for a large windfarm, with despatch in three directions. An enviable market position.
