Just to clarify, though. I do believe that there is almost certainly blatant naked shorting by a few powerful players in the paper gold and silver markets, with the authorities looking the other way. Hey, these characters have been shown to be completely morally and financially bankrupt - why wouldn't they do it? Of course they would!

The upcoming delivery month for gold and silver will be interesting to watch. Dan Norcini's comments on jsmineset today were interesting. JP Morgan seems to be on the hook for most of the gold deliveries every time I look at the stats. If they ever run off their short book, I don't know who would step in to replace them.
