Have been caravanning around WA for the last three months. On a visit to Lake Argyle I learned that there are two hydro electric turbines operating at the dam. One of these is about to be mothballed due to the closure of the Argyle diamond mine and insufficient demand in Kununurra to continue its use. Seemed to me to be a no brainer for Twiggy to step in.

During my younger life in the seventies, I worked for the Commonwealth Dept of Works in Port Moresby in the hydrographic survey dept. As field officer I visited many of the remote rivers and valleys throughout the country gauging stream flows etc. Thought I might have some information that may have been of interest to the future industry boys so put in a call to the Perth office. Two weeks later, still waiting for a call back.
