I find it funny with FFI that the majority of posters here who invest in FMG because it 'prints money' and 'pays massive dividends', has solid fundamentals etc. still praise the FFI component of the business... when it is the exact opposite of the type of business any of them would likely invest in if it was a standalone company (speculative, burning cash, based on hype/green movement bandwagon, etc.)
If FFI was a separate listed company to FMG, would you invest in it (answer honestly)? And if you say 'no', then why on earth are you happy/positive about FMG embarking on it seeing it's a drain on the company's bottom line?
And if you say 'yes', why aren't you investing in other 'green initiative' companies elsewhere on the ASX that are not yet making money?
