Best way to understand it is to compare FMG as per above assumptions with FMG(revised) with only US$6bill debt.
Accounts expressed in US$ is a bit of a furphy. Look at top of screen Market Cap. It's in $A.
Accounts in $US means debt stays $12bill. Assets in Australia need to be converted.
Accounts in $A means debt needs to be restated.
As per my opening sentence..... do your homework on FMG assuming different debt levels. Say 12, 9, 6 and 3.
