If the markets are so forward looking then why didnt they price in the is finacial disaster 6 months before it happened...the financial commentatotors and experts are a joke and I do not know how they can take themselves seriously..the old rule about the monkey with the dartboard stands more true today than ever before...when the market rises everyone makes money and when it falls everyone loses money expert or not...what about these absolute return funds that were supposed to make money in both rising and falling markets..really?? well why havent they had stellar performance this year then? Surely this should have been the mother of all years for them...massive bull market but in reverse.
My point is that dont be making the assumption that the market has "priced in" all the bad news...it hadnt before and very may well not have now either.....
