Thought I'd share my thoughts on where VMT's valuation should be, if we were basing it purely on earnings multiples, noting this is a quick and dirty that I put together based on marketindex / morningstar data that is publicly available.
The two possible PE used are in context of the SP500 PE of 20 and the ASX 200 All Ords PE of 15 (market cap weighted, so biased for low PE large cap miners).
I'm not saying that VMT as a tech-based growth company in a growth market should be measured with a low PE, but alas, this is where we are at and even if we value VMT as purely an industrial / manufacturing company, I'd argue we are undervalued on a forward-looking PE.
That we are undervalued should be clear to everyone and I also hope it's equally clear why that is. The corporate structure and JA is complicated, announcements are cryptic and give little details as to sales profiles or adoption rates in different markets (B2B/B2C as well as geographically). That means it is difficult or near impossible for any institutional investors to come on board.
This is an opportunity for those that do their own research and believe that growth can only go unnoticed for so long.
