    Further to this post, I thought it interesting to examine the "pricing scenarios", to see what those prices actually mean in "present dollars" due to the effects of inflation etc.

    So, if we consider a discount rate of say 2% p.a., the following chart shows the present value of those prices.

    In reality, although they are "constant" e.g. $30k/t after year 8 for scenario C, they are actually declining (significantly imo) in PV terms.


    The dashed lines show the present value of the (corresponding colour) future prices, using a 2% annual discount rate.

    Key takeaway imo:
    - Anyone thinking that the longer-term pricing in one or more of these scenarios is a bit "optimistic", should consider this factor!
