It actually creates a good buying opportunity. The initial reaction seems to be to sell because it's "risky". Typically, you would then expect people to stop and think and realise that BPH's situation doesn't apply to IVZ and then people will buy again. In the meantime, the share price drops before getting back to normal levels and those who panic-sold lose out and those that kept a calm head win. Happens in the market all the time but, despite that, many don't learn from those lessons.
