When you burn vast amounts of fossil fuel you generate vast amounts of waste heat; forget the CO2, think heat island on a planetary scale. The only reason we don't cook in our own waste heat is that most of it radiates away into space and some goes into melting some ice and warming the oceans. The Climastrologists either don't know sh!t about thermodynamics, or conveniently ignore it ('A Convenient Ignorance').

But mjp2 will pipe up again and claim that this has been refuted or shown, in some peer reviewed paper or three, to be so trivial in comparison to CO2 as to be insignificant. I have yet to see the relative calculations clearly tabulated in any of these masticatory refutations. Bring it on mjp2.

The outrageous claim of the heating power of CO2 far exceeding the waste heat contribution is the reason why the Climastrologists are now so desperate to find the 'heat hidden in the oceans'. Yet another set of perfectly good scientific instrument data that needs 'adjusting for reading errors'. If the data doesn't fit the story, ...

And this story is one epic fable, even down to including us 'trolls'.
