I think you are glossing over much of substance of the article, which concerns non-transparency and related party transactions, all of which add up to minority shareholders being ripped-off. It is irrelevant what type of industry the company falls into. These issues are serious matters. If MW is making this up or stretching the truth, then he deserves a libel action but if that does not result then we can assume there is real substance here. Either way, ASIC really should be involved and look at any evidence that MW can produce.
