Buffon 1 (1980)
Buffon 1 was drilled by Woodside Petroleum Development Pty Ltd to test the hydrocarbon potential of Early to Middle Jurassic and Triassic reservoirs sealed by Cretaceous claystones in a rotated fault block in the outer Caswell Sub-basin. The well reached a total depth of 4787 mRT. Significant gas shows were recorded in a Middle Jurassic volcanic sequence comprising layered volcanic tuffs, altered basal flows and pyroclastic material; a drill stem test over this interval (3737-4246 mRT) flowed 12 bbl/hr formation fluid (salt water) with traces of gas.
Its says significant gas shows but flowed 12bblhr of salt water ,i assume this is because they mismanaged the well so kt1 looks very promising assuming the gas and condesate has migrated further to the updip could this be over 500 mtr column.. : )
