I lived in Noosa for a while and am aware of the persistent "northward drift" of sand from Northern New South Wales that eventually has built the largest sand island in the world- Fraser Island. I don't think CWE's "pods" can be effectively tethered in such mobile sand environments- i.e. anywhere from Byron bay to Bundaberg. I can visualise a farm of CETOs slowly migrating with the sand drift north and then dragging all the connected pipes with it and the onshore power / desal building across the dunes into the water and up the coast!!!
How much of the east coast of Australia has the same problem? Elsewhere?
