Septic,
I don't see you views as contrary, just good input so please keep writing, we can all learn something.
smh,
Just a keen observer of the industry without working for any of the majors. As for the journal note, I didn't post the link until it I knew it was available on the internet, which is normally three or four days after subscription release.
As for my posts across all the mineral sand stocks.
I'm just trying to give an insight into an industry that has been neglected by the analysts and investors in general, you only need look at Iluka's share price rise to work that out, it had been in the making for three years and the very smart investors made serious money.
Now I've read many briefs across most of the industry and they all point to supply problems for all products for the next 10 years and beyond. There are still very few new projects coming online and specifically Australia (the hub of the industry). So I think little investors can do very well, obviously it's all about research like any stock and some patience in a very trying market, but I'm confident this is the place to be if you are taking a medium to long term view.
Now in the past two years 'rare earths' have been the flavour for 2010/11 and with the chinese holding 97% of output and putting restrictions on exports, these are headline grabbing and it stirs interest. That's fair enough, but do you really think there is much difference between rare earths and mineral sands? I can tell you that mineral sand mining is a far less complex, but maybe it comes down to the idea of a product that is used in re-chargable batteries or mobile phones rather than glazing ceramic tiles or used in your ceiling paint.
As for my views, they are just that - my views. I may not be right everytime, but you know that I will try to be neutral, thorough and back it up (if need be), not like other posters across H.C. who flick from stock to stock and just continually ramp a story for their own gains.
