The testimony yesterday of Christine Holgate didn't do the government any favours either, just as they thought vaccine rollout concerns had pushed women's issues out of the spotlight, back it comes roaring into the news cycle.

I don't think this necessarily impacts on any permit decisions that KP has to make, as despite all the foreground noise the business of government still ticks along in the background. And this is just one of probably a dozen or so permit applications that is sitting on his desk for attention, they aren't tied to the greater government woes.
