The numbers in absolute terms are still very low about three hundred (approx. I thnk) It's only high in relative terms ie relative to recent history. It's still a miniscule part of the mortgage belt, although it might be an indicator of worse things to come.
But in the light of the extreme rise in property values in WA (and the constant spruiking by real estate agents) it's not really surprising
