thank you for a sensible post. I think it’s is actually quite hard to understand the way in which coercive control, grooming and emotional abuse lay the groundwork for a range of other abusive behaviour.
it seems to make no sense from the outside and I’d even harder to understand if you are good at calling boundaries, exercising power or drawing a line in the sand with a willingness to act. It’s also hard to understand if you have a robust sense of self
it is too easy to assume what type of women are subjected to abuse. there are CEOs, competent and successful women as well as those for whom life has been one long hard struggle.
