Guvnuts in Canberra are just deflecting the increasing inflation (which they have caused) onto big Australian businesses. Supermarkets are an easy target as all the brain-dead sheep consumers out there just look at the shelf price and see things going up month after month. It must be those greedy supermarkets...
Image the cost of electricity running a big supermarket, it's getting out of control for a regular household let alone a giant shopping center with fridges & freezers.
Then you have the clown talking about sheep on farm at $5 a kg...FFS. Care to take a look at Semi Trailer Registration, Insurance and Deisel Cost? Tax on fuel just went up on the 5th Feb again (thanks Guvnuts). Truck drivers wanting more pay, then the abattoir workers all unionized wanting more pay. The poor old abattoir owner is paying way more in electricity and council rates & taxes. Back onto another truck to the supermarket for another round of increased freight prices. But let's just blame supermarkets..
