These people were queue jumpers, pure and simple, trying to take the Aussie Government for a sucker and just had the money to jump ahead of those who went through the normal channels.
Anyone who states otherwise is either a sucker, is very very naive or has an ulterior motive. And that applies to those who come as 'tourists' and then make a claim for asylum.
