    You don't want to deplete cholesterol. Cholesterol is essential for your body, especially your brain and thinking processes. It is so essential that every cell in your body is capable of manufacturing it.

    Low cholesterol (<5.0) is a cause of strokes. The lower, the more at risk you are.

    Cholesterol has nothing to do with heart attacks (well, it is involved in repairing artery walls, but that's probably not the sort of involvement that the drug companies really mean) - that is a myth propagated by the statin producers.
