To call Tony incompetent is unfair. Whilst he has embraced the fast track, the Apollo mob cooked it up. His predecessor went back to Apollo HQ, no doubt to be parachuted into the next shell.
I reckon Tony’s expertise is in mine construction and managing people, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was far less familiar with the approvals process and complex financial arrangements when appointed.
He now finds himself at the Mercy of Taurus. Luckily SO4 has plenty of friends with deep pockets but the outcome for shareholders won’t be as good as it could have been.
