I love these gold rush shows. There is one where they are in north Canada and Alaska. They invited Pete onto the show to set up camp to get some gold, but when they asked him what his plan was for the winter, WA Outback Pete just said 'what is winter?'. So for Pete's own safety they did not let him on the show... he having no thought about elements having any impact on operations.

Also, there is a funny scene where Pete is chatting to them and it starts to rain. Pete freaks out thinking some alien is throwing down some evil, unknown, droplets upon him. So aside from not know what winter, snow, and rain are... Outback Pete is OK.
