Quickflix claims that 1.5Mbps is sufficient for streaming, 3.5Mbps for HD. Certainly my computer streams without any problem at about 8Mbs.
Foxtel's price point seems too high. At $15 per month, I need to watch 3 movies a month to get my money's worth, seems reasonable. At $25 I need to watch 5 every month just to be breaking even.
Quickflix just needs to build content. Foxtel has a long way to go in this space.
