It was a pretty weak piece of (non)journalism. It was one-sided. Interviewed any handy local who demonstrated their lack of 'scientific/rational' knowledge by the way they talked. One said the Fraccers would 'look you in the face and lie to you', But no mention of any authorities, or standards or anything. (The US has approvals processes are so comprehensive, fragmented and drawn out that they make Aus ones look simple and efficient!) For such a one-sided piece, it was weakly put together, and vague, so fairly ineffective. Even the clip of the Gaslands guy lighting his kitchen tap on fire was not dwelt on. Gee, if I was on the side of the argument to ban the nasty oil and gas companies, I'd have made a lot more of that, and the woman with the dirty water 'lake' that she said "she wouldn't even wash her hair in". Man, where was her lab test that she would have insisted on the authorities pay for since it was supposedly such a toxic cocktail?
