Trader, this thread is a bit like talking to yourself.
You seem keen to perpetuate the Green's argument than anyone who actually knows something about a subject must be biased. However most reasonable people think that someone who works in a particular specialist area deserves more respect. But you seem to want to argue that because someone works in a particular area and has specialist knowledge he should be disrespected. (Unless of course he is Tony Ingaffea when he supports your views).
Do a bit more checking on Dan Tormey, I think you'll find vulcanology is his hobby rather than where he earns his living. Australian businesses would do very well if they could tap into Dan's expertise on water, for instance.
Oh, and have a look at all of Ingraffia's work, rather than neatly selected portions. His concern is with the high volume slick water fracs used in shale. Nothing at all to do with the fracing used in conventional gas or in CSG in Australa. He has never suggested a problem with these techniques.
So stop disparaging those people who have developed a high level of knowledge from continuously working in a particular area. Maybe you can learn something from them.
And I see you subscribe to the theory that the only "peer reviewed" research that counts is the research that agrees with your views.
Very interesting approach.
