Details of the faked 1977 Time magazine cover about an imminent ice age prediction from the 70's are here...

You have to ask yourself, why would someone go to the trouble to fake a Time magazine cover about this issue? It tells me two things:
1. The evidence from the 1970's did not support their proposition;
2. Someone is desperate to spread misinformation!
People may have their own recollections of imminent ice age predictions, but were they from the experts or from the quacks?
Skeptical Science has looked into this and concluded that "the vast majority of climate papers in the 1970s predicted warming." But, of course, you and I weren't reading climate papers in the 70's so we would never know.

P.S. I am not so young, I'm pushing 50 myself!
