I sought of contradicted myself in my previous post. I said fundamentals do not have enough information to give correct calls. Well, to be frank neither does simple charting or pure TA. However, the reason I prefer to use TA is it's more quantifiable. Given I come from a quantum physics background, I treat markets as ordered chaos. I'm currently working on a combined neural network and quantum statistical approach to search for appropriate entry AND exit points. So far I've found exits are actually more important than entries, but both must be taken into account for maximising profits.
