Wonderful news isn't it Wayne. Agree, Neuren's got a much bigger goal here in mind with NNZ-2566.
NNZ-2566 represents a new and distinct therapeutic approach in this field.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, big Pharma are very interested in Autism. Fragile X is on many Pharma radars right. You have Roche, Novartis, Pfizer and Seaside Therapeutics all working hard. The attraction is huge, and as highlighted in a previous Bell Potter report, if pre-clinical evidence emerges of efficacy for NNZ-2566 in animal models of Fragile X it is more likely to attract BIG Pharma interest as a drug with potential widespread use in autism.
Even though Neuren can’t or haven't said anything about how Pharma took to the news at the TAP Conference, I think it’s safe to say that they definitely threw a pebble into the pond and the ripples are spreading.
