Putin meddles with both ends of the spectrum. Italy's right wing has turned against Putin. So has Le Penn whose National Rally received a reported 34m Euro in donations from Putin over the years.
I suspect the tipping point was the bussing of immigrants to EU borders.
Regardless, a deep dive is required to understand the circumstances which cause radicalisation in each of the source countries. Following that, a deep dive into wildly disparate Islamic teaching is required.
My current observation is that Putin and Khamenei are finding the far left in Europe (and Melbourne) to be far easier to manipulate than the far right. As I see it , Putin easily manipulates both the far left and the far right in the US due to the geopolitical ignorance of the population and political classes there.
