When the US monetary system collapses we will need to fall back somewhere. I agree with France and Germany's stance, as does Russia and China. If the US pre emptive attack goes horribly wrong, as I think it will, we may as well be slaves under the Koran without a plan 'B'.
...of course the Yanks with their arrogance and ignorance believe we amy not require a plan 'B'. NATO is largely irrelevant as NATO has gone from full US weapon compatibility as its string agenda, to the sparse compatibility with German, French and Russian artillery across NATO members.
