re: frank carr ..... ancient history Anyone investing in a company in which Mr Carr is involved would have to do some very thorough research first.
They should ask themselves when did Mr. Carr sell his shares in Voicenet, when did he convert his options? How did the timing relate to bullish announcement made by the managing director, Alan Dawson, about the Chilean venture? What truth was in those announcements?
They also need to look at the Miniskips sale in the 80's, and subsequent events. They should also seek out information on a formerly listed company called Ampersand and Southern Group (subsequently Voicenet and now AFT).
The more research they do the better. There is plenty of information on the net. (check Chimes in exile forum archives)
Once an investor (punter, more like it) has done all that he should know whether or not to risk his capital.
