So let's review what we have learned Wotsup. In 1 Cor 15 Paul was explaining what was to happen to those to whom he addressed his letter "called to be holy ones". - 1 Cor 1:2. These are to go to heaven to share with Jesus in ruling over mankind here on earth. Most of this group have died in the past 2,000 years.
(1 Corinthians 15:36) You unreasonable person! What you sow is not made alive unless first it dies.
Keep that point in mind because it is not repeated in each following verse. Having died, they sleep in death until the time of Christ's presence at which time they are resurrected. Jesus will call them out of the grave.

(1 Thessalonians 4:16) because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.
Their being called to life in heaven requires they be given a "heavenly body".

(1 Corinthians 15:40) And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly bodies is a different sort.
Changed = same person , different body = dead earthly body , live heavenly body
Wotsup, we are the generation that will experience the coming of God's Kingdom. Matt 24:34.
(Matthew 24:30, 31) Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity.

These "chosen ones" together with the ones that 'rose first' bring the total number to 144,000 that will rule with Jesus in heaven over the earth.- Rev 5:9,10; 14:1

There are awe inspiring events soon to come!
