It's really a conundrum of the political elites own making.

It's simple don't make companies pay tax on dividend distributions (pay the full amount with NO credits) and let each individual tax payer pay the tax they must make under the tax law.

For obvious reasons the simple solution will never see the light of day because it does actually eliminate double taxation, double handling at the recipients level.

And most importantly it can no longer be considered a GIFT as it will be earned income from investment.

Com'on shorten I dare you to consider it!
