I'm sorry that's simply untrue, if the reason why you are investing in property or any other market is driven soley on CGT payable years into the future then you are making the investment for the wrong reason.
If you remove the same tax from all markets where are people going to invest? They certainly aren't going to leave it in the bank & earn about 1%.
People would still invest in shares & property, they would just pay more tax on any capital profits.
