Fair question Silax89.
The Buxton Resources report gives an indication : (I have no idea about Buxton or who they are in particular but this is extracted nevertheless. Apparently they are 60km along strike from Sirius)
"The VTEM anomalies observed in the survey may relate to :
1. Surficial conductors.. clay rich layers and saline ground-water in drainage (present or paleo)
2. Stratigraphic conductors... conductive sediments, typically carbonaceous / graphite or sulphidic (meta-) sediments
3. Structural .. shear zones, contacts or faults, preferentially weathered, invaded by saline groundwater and/or clays or possibly mineralised with conductive mineralisation (graphite or sulphides)
4. Sulphide bodies / veins or layers.. massive, stringer or thick matrix or blebby mineralisation with sufficient size and electrical connectivity to generate a response."
.. and black shale also gives a false hope apparently... and other things too I suppose. Old car bodies.
So a conductor is not an automatic find. Not at all. There are other possibilities as well as sulphide bodies..
However I gather the encouraging part of the SEG geology is that the stratigraphy is flowing "sub vertical". That is everything is going down except this odd intrusive horizontal conductor for starters. It has shoved its way in later and the host rocks are mafic - ultra maffic which are the same as Nova-Bollinger.
I was in the casino in Townsville the other night watching the roulette. The ball was going around... people placing their bets. I thought how much like buying SEG shares it was! Place your Bets! Winners... and losers.
People deciding whether or not to place their bet.
In the end it is a punt. No certainties or we would all be rich.
I have my bet on the table.. a modest bet on a FIND. But the little ball on the roulette wheel will decide my fate.. and not my good judgement I fear.!
