I am a TA guy and any fundamental views of mine are not worth anything, but I try to make sense of what my charts say and what is the current themes.
This rough yearly Aussie market chart suggests a 40 year pattern of tops with 2010 approx. the next.
That is shown by the red vertical lines.
The topping last time in 1970 was fundamentally similar with resources booming etc.
No two times are exactly the same but I find the charts seldom get it wrong.
