the spin off has to have money in there bank, thats a given-, some how?. IF they gave bowen shareholders free shares , they will still need 2/3 mill in the bank and id sooner pay for the shares. than have them for free and then the company would only have too have "double" the ammount that is really needed - more dilution than need to get the 2 or 3 million,im sure there will still be many takers and over subscibed anyway.

tax wise i think its better to pay for them than free distibutions, cant sell on opening day if there escrowed as free shares if that was the case.

im sure there is some good examples of free spin offs vs paid ones to argue the case, that free spin offs and not as succsefull when its out of a young exploration company.
compared to something like SRL -straits resouces are going to do - (im not sure if they have to pay either), there is talk of babcok and brown infrustructure -BBI splitting in to 2they dont have the market cap like this junior .



i can thing of a few were initially it was a free spinoff only for the company to change its mind many have done that ! so there not leading us on like many of the uranium spinoffs didin the past either failed to list or had to pay in the end etc, or hold some BS amount of share to get allocation.

well Paradigm metals and Exco had teamed projects together and i too would wish that they to are a paid listing when it comes to a asx lsting , and not free distributions.

bow energy is one that was free for many i think,
yrr was a in speccie the 1st time and failed, paid and listed 2nd time round ( director issues asside there and there dilution from the gpn holding in yrr)
golden state is another.


also depending on how big the parent company is, its not straits resources as i said before.



dont forget, bowen has shares in iron ore explorer - vector ,something else which adds to the companies market cap that many forget.
