in the distant past, watso has posted about the matter .. so to make it as brief as possible ..
watso on his cycling errands - knows where there is overhanging fruit - ie over onto the council verge .. indeed not even limited to cycling .. and even fruit trees growing on the verge .. anyway watso would enjoy free mulberries, oranges, mandarins , lemons .. lol lol not too many of them
and to cut a long story short, but watso collects 10c recyclables (as watso does his cycling/walks ) for the old guy up the street .. anyway, a couple of weeks ago, the old guy gives watso a butternet pumkin that he picked up from a plant growing out on the verge - and he also informed watso where there was a mango tree - with overhanging fruit (watso has picked 5 mangoes - they are green - and hopefully they will become edible ) ..
lol lol watso in his cycling, spots some pumpkin looking produce - and tells the old guy where it is ,, watso informs the old guy - who eventually goes and looks - and informs watso that there are both watermelons and pumpkins .. and he gives watso a small round watermelon..
lol lol lol this morning, watso dropped in to say hello to the old guy - and he informs watso that he was there to pick another one or two watermelons .. but the owner of the property/2 story house adjacent to the kerb - came down yelling and screaming and brandishing an axe .. lol lol watso thinks the old guy was embellishing the story a bit .. but he said that he quickly got back in his car and drove away ..
obviously watso is not wanting to be confronted by a guy wielding an axe - but watso knows where the property is - and he can easily go a different route for his regular early morning walk ..
obviously if someone takes a car which is parked on the kerbside - that is stealing .. watso is a kerbside collector - and that is a bit of a grey area .. but what about the fruit and veges???..
mmm back to the mangoes .. watso picked some low hanging green fruit (and obvious that watso was not the only one) .. but a bit out of reach were significantly larger mangoes . and a lot closer to being ripe .. lol lol watso has played with the idea of going on his pushie, in the middle of the day - and quickly cutting down a few good sized mangoes .. with a large pair of pruning shears (or what ever they are called - but can give the extra height to get the mangoes)
