Capral has reported exactly as hoped with a small $1m profit for the first time in many years. The underlying operating cash flow was $10m hidden under an increase in inventories. The net tangible asset backing is quoted at 39c.
The one slightly negative part of the report was a comment that the current half was still tough going at that sales appeared likely to be more like the second half of last year than the most recent half where they increased by 15 percent over the previous corresponding period.
Still no definite answer on the customers case but an announcement is expected before the end of August.
