    Has there been a torn hamstring tendon injury as significant as Kerr's in Australian sport since then? I can only think of Matthew Lloyd's in 2006 off the top of my head. Maybe those since then (some of which are listed here: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/how-a-hamstring-can-cost-you-two-months-of-footy-20180626-p4znvo.html) weren't as significant, so surgery was successful and there wasn't a need to look for alternatives as there was with Kerr?

    I'd also wager that if he was a star player at a Victorian club the story would've got more traction.

    I wasn't aware of Koepka's injury/procedure. Interesting to note that he has since re-aggrevated the injury and had to pull out of the Presidents Cup.

    Here's another significant tendon injury that I'm watching with interest - ruptured quad tendon. Surgery on 28th Jan, hasn't played since (but getting very close to a return from all reports):
