your argument that immigration satisfies 'low paid' labour is true but illegal immigration can escalate the degradation of the national labour unit through employer exploitation of the desperation of those illegals too the detriment of US youth in general.
Education is extremely expensive in US, not all US kids have rich parents and whole industries over there are 'off limits' to US domestics as going wages have been corrupted by illegal immigration flows making it impossible for domestic younger populations to get ahead through lack of a decent wage and employment conditions.
The way trump is doing this is I agree more 'political message' than 'Ameria 1st' but a recent poll suggested > 50% of yanks see illegal immigration as a big problem as it debases the national labour unit on behalf of corporate profit motive.
