There are a few issues, one being the local legal mafia's stranglehold on free speech here in order to get money, the second was the luck that the US has in having the first amendment and another is US foreign policy worldwide. The US government hates the first amendment and is working to scrap the whole constitution. That's one reason why some hate them. It's not as simple as anti US crusaders as such rather anti the US empire and all that entails.
